It's a Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod Murder

By Rosemary Martin

That Girl hits the cozy scene. Bebe Bennett is a likeable heroine, although it did take some getting used to her innocence. She is in love with her boss, Bradley Williams and she is out to prove that her room mate and best friend, Darlene, didn't murder the lead singer of a new British group set to take America by storm. Darlene is the not so innocent of the two friends, but they are loyal to a fault.

Darlene finds Philip, the lead singer electrocuted in his hotel bath and the police suspect her of the deed. Here in lies one of my few problems with the book. It is never explained why Phillip was standing in the bathtub playing his guitar. Philip was not a likable sort which is why Bebe finds a new suspect at every corner.

Three plus signs
